Duties and Responsibilities

  • You must have been attested as a Special Constable and have completed at least 50 hours of response policing. If you cannot meet both these criteria you should apply as a new mainstream Special Constable.  You should also live within 20 miles of at least one Thames Valley Police Station
  • In addition to submitting an application to TVP, you will need to submit the national transferee application form through your own force to request a transfer. A copy of this form is attached above.
  • Once both parts have been received and checked you will be invited to a selection interview. If you are successful at the interview you will undergo pre-appointment checks which include medical, references, vetting, and a fitness test
