This job post is for an Associate Lecturer at the UCL Institute of Education in London. This role is part of the Access, Culture and Communications (ACC) English for Academic Purposes (EAP) team. Duties and Responsibilities

  • We are recruiting for 2 x full-time Associate Lecturers (Teaching) vacancies in UCL Academic Communication Centre (ACC) – 80% of the role, and in the UCL Centre for Languages and International Education – 20% of the role. The contracts offered are open-ended.
  • Associate Lecturers provide up to 18 contact hours per week, which includes face-to-face teaching, online teaching and online tutorials.
  • They provide high-quality teaching to develop students’ academic language, literacies and autonomy.
  • Associate Lecturers also work collaboratively with fellow ACC lecturers on the course, workshop and materials design, as well as with subject lecturers to develop support for students embedded in their degree programmes.

Q: What Experience is Needed?

A: Applicants must have experience in planning, developing, and delivering EAP instruction to students at all levels of HE studies, in various group sizes and also onetoone, via both facetoface and online classes.
